Engineering Services Technician

Qualifications:
Textile industry experience
Proficiency in general warehouse, production, and assembly tasks
Familiarity with quality control and inspection procedures
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
High school diploma or equivalent
Responsibilities:
Follow all safety, environmental, and housekeeping standards (OSHA, PPE, LOTO)
Install, thread, and adjust warp and weft yarns according to specifications
Make mechanical adjustments to looms to ensure optimal performance and fabric quality
Perform startups after loom sets, style changes, or maintenance work
Troubleshoot loom issues related to yarn tension, fabric defects, or machine operation
Work closely with Weavers, Quality Facilitators, and Supervisors to resolve production concerns
Verify loom settings meet product engineering and quality standards
Document loom settings, changes, and issues per Milliken procedures
Support continuous improvement initiatives and standard work practices
Physical Requirements:
Standing or walking for 12 hours or more per shift
Ability to remain in a stationary position (standing or seated) during equipment operation
Ability to move/traverse the production floor, including accessing creel areas, equipment, and materials
Ability to lift and carry production materials (spools, bobbins, resin containers, waste packages), typically up to 50 lbs
Stooping, bending, reaching overhead, and occasional ladder/platform climbing
Ability to operate machine controls, touchscreens, tools, and adjustments requiring fine motor skills
Ability to sustain repetitive motions during extended production runs
Ability to visually inspect products, monitor displays, and identify non-conforming conditions
Ability to tolerate heat, temperature variations, and abnormal environmental conditions typical of manufacturing
