Temporary Welder/Fabricator
Job Description
The Temporary Welder/Fabricator supports the Operations Leads with District building maintenance and construction activities in one or more of the following specific areas as directed: Cut, fabricate, and install metal and other structures according to specifications; fabricate and weld metal materials according to design and specifications; assist other employees as needed; and perform related work on weekends and overtime as required.
Essential duties may include: General understanding and ability to read blueprints and sketches; assist with measurements and calculations to determine materials needed; and construct and fabricate metal structures including walk-ways, platforms, screens, and other irrigation structures.
Required: Proven experience as a welder/fabricator; proven experience with welding materials; understanding of welding techniques and methods of installation and construction; ability to read technical documents and drawings; High School Diploma or equivalent; Washington State Driver License with acceptable driving record; acceptable criminal background record; clean drug screen, and First Aid Certification.
