Dispatch Coordinator
The Dispatch Coordinator plays a key role in supporting a high-performing sales and service team that delivers comprehensive chemical products and solutions to customers in the food service and hospitality industries. Reporting to the Service Operations Supervisor/Manager, this role coordinates more than 300 field associates by organizing service assignments and delegating work through a dispatch queue. The Dispatch Coordinator focuses on driving operational excellence, optimizing field team performance, and ensuring best-in-class service for customers.
Responsibilities
Process a high volume of incoming service requests with accuracy and urgency.
Assign and schedule service appointments, ensuring timely response to customer needs.
Efficiently dispatch service technicians to customer locations, prioritizing customer service and service quality.
Develop and maintain daily and weekly schedules to ensure proper field staff coverage.
Adjust schedules and assignments as needed based on changing customer needs and priorities.
Optimize service technician hours, availability, and accountability to maximize productivity and efficiency.
Collaborate with Area Leadership to support and achieve Retain, Grow, and Gain business initiatives.
Continually partner with field associates and leaders to identify and solve operational challenges.
Influence and improve field operations to drive effectiveness and consistency in service delivery.
Perform data entry and administrative support related to scheduling, dispatching, and service records.
Utilize Microsoft Office tools, including Excel, to manage schedules, reports, and service information.
Provide excellent customer service and sales support when coordinating service activities.
Essential Skills
High school diploma or equivalent.
24 years of work experience in sales, customer service, or related fields, including relevant military experience.
Proven experience in dispatching or route service coordination.
Experience using Microsoft Office Suite with demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally.
Excellent organization and time-management skills to handle high-volume requests and scheduling.
Strong leadership, communication, problem-solving, and critical-thinking abilities.
Ability to work independently and make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment.
Accurate data entry skills and attention to detail.
Experience providing administrative and sales support in a service-oriented environment.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Associate's degree or trade school certification.
Experience with Salesforce or similar customer relationship management (CRM) systems.
Previous dispatch or route service experience in a field service environment.
Industry-related experience in food service, laundry, housekeeping, hospitality, and/or pool and spa.
Ability to collaborate effectively with field teams and leadership to drive operational improvements.
Demonstrated ability to adapt to changing priorities and customer demands.
Interest in building a long-term career path in service, sales, or management.
Work Environment
This role offers two positions in a work-from-home capacity and requires residence in the Central or Eastern time zones. The schedule includes the ability to work a four-day work week as needed, with potential shifts such as Wednesday through Saturday or Sunday through Wednesday. Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $24.00/hr.
