Wire Tech
The Electrical Assembler will assemble mechanical and electrical wires, housings, control panels, and automation controls using a variety of hand tools and equipment, following detailed specifications and documentation. This role involves reading basic blueprints and engineering drawings, performing custom wiring, and troubleshooting, and ensuring all products meet strict quality and safety standards in a clean, organized production environment.
Responsibilities
Read, interpret, and follow custom blueprints, diagrams, engineering drawings, specifications, bills of materials, and written instructions to accurately assemble equipment and products.
Assemble mechanical and electronic parts, pieces, and products for various housings, control panels, and automation controls according to required specifications.
Use hand tools and handheld power tools such as screwdrivers, tweezers, crimpers, hand-held screw guns, and drill guns to perform assembly tasks.
Perform electrical wiring and electronic assembly tasks, including routing and connecting wires and components as specified.
Troubleshoot basic assembly and wiring issues and make appropriate adjustments or corrections.
Maintain inventory of product and components at workstations to support continuous production flow.
Perform quality checks on assembled products to ensure they meet established quality standards and specifications.
Identify product defects, document issues accurately, and follow procedures for reporting and resolving defects.
Rework and repair assembled equipment and products based on engineering specification changes or quality findings.
Follow all quality standards and established safety procedures while performing daily tasks.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area throughout the shift.
Use basic computer systems for navigation, documentation, and accessing work instructions as needed.
Essential Skills
12 years of custom electrical wiring assembly experience.
Ability to read and follow basic blueprints, diagrams, and engineering drawings.
Hands-on experience with electrical wiring.
Proficiency using hand tools such as screwdrivers, tweezers, crimpers, and other basic hand tools.
Experience using handheld power tools such as screw guns and drill guns.
Basic troubleshooting skills for assembly and wiring issues.
Basic computer navigation and utilization skills.
Ability to perform work accurately and thoroughly while meeting quality standards.
Strong attention to detail and ability to identify defects and inconsistencies.
Ability to follow directions, written instructions, and established procedures.
Ability to use reasoning and critical thinking to solve problems and adapt to specification changes.
High level of self-motivation and reliability in completing assigned tasks.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Specific technical or vocational training or educational degree in electrical assembly, automation, or a related field is preferred.
Ability to pass a ruler or measurement test if required.
Familiarity with custom wiring with automated controls.
Comfort working with quality documentation and defect reporting procedures.
Interest in working with automation controls, control panels, and related technologies.

The workspace is not very loud and supports concentration on detailed assembly work. The organization operates in a high-tech automation context, involving technologies such as sensors, motion control, robotics, linear actuators, variable speed drives, power transmission and torque devices, programmable logic controllers, SCADA solutions, operator interface panels, safety products, network and communications solutions, wireless solutions, connectivity, tension control, temperature control, panel components, machine vision, energy-saving devices, and value-add services. The standard schedule for this position is Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
