Wire Technician (Electrical Assembly)

As a Wire Technician, you'll assemble and wire control panels and automation systems in a focused, low-noise settingand have a clear path into a union position with strong benefits.

What You'll Be Doing

You'll play a key role in building custom electrical and mechanical assemblies used in advanced automation and control systems.
Assemble and wire electrical and mechanical components for control panels, housings, and automation equipment
Read and follow blueprints, wiring diagrams, bills of materials, and written work instructions
Perform custom wiring, routing, terminations, and connections to precise specifications
Use hand and power tools such as screwdrivers, crimpers, tweezers, screw guns, and drill guns
Troubleshoot basic wiring or assembly issues and make corrections as needed
Perform visual and functional quality checks to ensure products meet specifications
Document defects, rework items when required, and follow quality procedures
Maintain parts inventory at your workstation to support smooth production flow
Keep your workspace clean, organized, and safe at all times
Use basic computer systems to access instructions and complete documentation
What We're Looking For

Required
12 years of experience in electrical assembly or custom wiring
Ability to read basic blueprints, diagrams, and engineering drawings
Hands-on experience with electrical wiring and components
Comfort using common hand tools and handheld power tools
Good attention to detail and commitment to quality
Basic troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Ability to follow instructions, procedures, and safety standards
Basic computer navigation skills
Preferred (Not Required)
Technical or vocational training in electrical assembly, automation, or a related field
Experience with control panels or automated controls
Familiarity with quality documentation and defect reporting
Ability to pass a basic ruler or measurement test
Interest in automation, controls, and advanced manufacturing

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $27.00 - $32.00/hr.
