Laundry Production Shift Team Member
Join our dedicated team at Surfside Laundry in Foley, AL, as a Laundry Production Shift team member. In this role, you will play a vital part in ensuring that our laundry operations run smoothly and efficiently during the evening hours. You will be responsible for handling, processing, and preparing a variety of laundry items with care and attention to detail, contributing to our overall goal of delivering clean, high-quality linens and laundry services to our valued customers.
Responsibilities
Operate industrial laundry equipment, including washers, dryers, and folding machines, to process large volumes of laundry with precision and safety.
Sort laundry items by type, color, and fabric to prevent damage and ensure optimal cleaning results.
Inspect linens for stains, tears, or damage and ensure items are properly cleaned and repaired if necessary.
Maintain a clean and organized work area to comply with health and safety standards.
Collaborate with other team members and supervisors to meet daily production goals and deadlines.
Report any equipment malfunctions or concerns to the maintenance team promptly to minimize downtime.
Follow all company policies and procedures, including safety protocols and quality control measures.
Requirements
Previous experience in a laundry or production environment is preferred but not required; we provide comprehensive training for the right candidate.
Ability to stand for extended periods and lift heavy loads up to 50 pounds safely.
Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and quality.
Basic understanding of operating machinery and following safety guidelines.
Reliable availability for the second shift hours, showing punctuality and strong work ethic.
Good communication skills and ability to work well within a team-oriented environment.
