CNC Machinist
Tier 2 (Direct Hire) Berne, IN $24$28 per hour | 2nd & 3rd Shift Available Pro Resources is hiring a CNC Machinist
Tier 2 for a direct hire opportunity with a stable manufacturing company in Berne, Indiana. This role is ideal for experienced machinists with CNC or manual machining experience, strong blueprint reading skills, and the ability to machine parts to precise tolerances. Key Responsibilities Operate CNC and/or manual machining equipment to produce parts according to blueprints and specifications Machine parts to required tolerances and quality standards Inspect parts using precision measuring tools such as micrometers, calipers, and gauges Perform basic hand operations including filing, fitting, and scraping Change worn inserts or tooling and reset tool lengths Assist with machine setups and fixture installation/removal Make basic tool adjustments and machine coordinate changes as needed Record labor and production data in the system Maintain clean machines and work areas
Qualifications Previous machining experience (CNC or manual machines) High School Diploma or GED Ability to pass background check Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings Experience with machine setups, tooling adjustments, and fixtures Familiarity with precision measuring instruments Trade school certification in machining or equivalent work experience preferred Strong attention to detail and mechanical aptitude
