This role supports production packaging operations in a warehouse environment, focusing on pulling, preparing, and packaging copper tubing and pipe for shipment to major retail customers. You will handle materials across multiple departments, ensure products are properly protected and labeled, and help maintain an efficient, accurate, and safe shipping process.
Essential Skills
Experience working in a warehouse, production, or packaging environment.
Ability to perform packing and packaging tasks with attention to detail and product protection.
Ability to work on a packaging line, handling repetitive tasks while maintaining quality standards.
Basic inventory handling skills, including following work orders and tracking labeled products.
Ability to read and follow work orders and cut sheets accurately.
Capability to label and bar code products clearly and correctly.
Physical ability to move, lift, and handle pipe and related materials safely throughout the shift.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team to complete assigned tasks.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Previous experience as a packager, warehouse worker, or in a similar production role is beneficial.
Familiarity with bundling, wrapping, and preparing materials for shipment.
Comfort working with basic tools and equipment used for cutting and handling pipe.
Willingness to learn multiple departments and tasks, including receiving, shipping, and saw operations.
Strong work ethic and reliability, with a focus on safety and quality.
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Bettendorf, IA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $15.00 - $15.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
