Certified Medication Aide (CMA)
Heritage Grove Estates is seeking a skilled and compassionate Certified Medication Aide (CMA) to join our care team. In this role, you will provide essential support in medication administration while assisting residents with daily living activities. The ideal candidate is a dedicated advocate for residents and their families, committed to delivering safe, high-quality, and person-centered care in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team.
Key Responsibilities:
Administer medications as prescribed with accuracy and timeliness in accordance with physician orders and facility protocols
Monitor and document vital signs, including temperature, blood pressure, pulse, and respirations, and report abnormalities to licensed nursing staff
Assist residents with mobility needs, including transfers, ambulation, and repositioning, following established care plans
Provide toileting assistance and manage incontinence care with dignity and respect
Respond promptly to call lights and resident requests, ensuring needs are addressed efficiently
Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment in alignment with infection control and safety standards
Communicate effectively with residents, families, and interdisciplinary team members to support continuity of care
Observe and report changes in resident condition to the supervising nurse in a timely manner
Comply with all safety regulations, infection prevention protocols, and organizational policies
Support residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and feeding
Collaborate closely with clinical staff to ensure individualized care plans are executed effectively, addressing both physical and emotional needs
Qualifications:
Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in good standing with the State Board of Nursing
Active Medication Aide certification in the state of practice
Ability to deliver compassionate, resident-centered care to individuals with varying physical and cognitive conditions
Strong teamwork and collaboration skills within a healthcare environment
Effective problem-solving abilities and adaptability in a fast-paced setting
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Demonstrated commitment to providing high-quality care to seniors
