Office Coordinator- Outpatient Rehab Services

Location: Pontiac, MI
Schedule: Full Time, Day Shift
Minimum Requirements:
Successful completion of PHS training for scheduling of Rehab Department evaluations and treatments.
Education: Associates Degree in related field or Business School Certification required or equivalent years working experience.
Two to four years years progressively responsible experience in an office setting related to understanding the coordinating of office operations and administrative details.
Experience in medical environment preferred.
Experience and understanding of insurance/reimbursement requirements preferred.
Special Skills / Aptitudes:
Excellent customer service orientation skills necessary in order to deal effectively with various levels of hospital personnel, outside customers and community groups.
Ability to type proficiently Specific computer knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, PHS, TDS, and Medipac strongly preferred. Medical Terminology with ICD-9 coding experience and knowledge of third party payers preferred.
Analytical skills necessary to handle administrative details such as preparing special nonrecurring reports and handling administrative/secretarial needs of multiple managers.
Interpersonal skills necessary to effectively communicate with a diverse group of external and internal customers, often dealing with sensitive/highly confidential information.
Ability to handle multiple tasks, maintain composure, and successfully serve all customers in a positive, enthusiastic manner.
Good organizational and time management skills to meet departmental needs/demands.
Ability to receive, process and distribute information and detailed messages to completion.
Ability to take the initiative to trouble shoot and problem solve quickly, efficiently and appropriately to completion.
Flexible team player, willingness to go beyond for the benefit of smooth operation of the department.
