Position Overview: This is a skilled position involving the safe and efficient operation of Water Trucks. Drivers will deliver water to dirt crews, paving crews, and pit areas for dust control and grade work.
Key Responsibilities
Operate equipment safely and efficiently.
Keep time and material records.
Follow verbal and written instruction.
Knowledge of different types of material and grades they are spraying.
Ability for maneuvering and backing.
Communicate effectively on the radio system.
Qualifications
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
Education/Experience: High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required; and two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Ability to drive and operate a manual shift.
Certificates, License, Registrations: Must possess a valid state drivers license. Must possess a valid Medical Card as per DOT standard.
Work Requirements: One to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Incident free driving record preferred. May be subject to drug, alcohol, physical agilities testing.
Knowledge/Skill Requirements: Ability to communicate using two-way radio. Basic math. Basic computer skills preferred. Manual shift.

Physical Requirements: The employee is frequently required to sit, climb, and use hands to signal and handle equipment. The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, crawl, kneel, bend, and reach with hands and arms above their shoulders. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move anywhere up to 50 lbs. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision and depth perception.
