Kids' Club Lead Assistant
Before and after school care for elementary schools. The position involves working directly with elementary school-age students in a structured before and after school setting. The position reports directly to the classroom Head Teacher and is responsible for assisting with planning, interacting with and supervision of the students, and developing positive relationships with families and colleagues. Ongoing training and professional development is provided. Location: NPS Elementary Schools Hours: Monday through Friday 7:00-9:00 a.m. and 3:00 - 6:00 p.m. (split shift) Flexibility with days/set schedule Hourly Rate: Lead Assistant Salary $15.00 Benefit: Paid sick time Start Date: 2024-25 School Year August 29, 2024 Qualifications: High School diploma or equivalent. Experience working with elementary children in a professional setting preferred. Must be at least 18 years of age and have a desire to work with children. Duties and Responsibilities: Ability to supervise children and assist with operation of a before and after school program. Ability to follow directions and be flexible. Assist with classroom maintenance. Follow and enforce Michigan DHS Licensing Rules. Ability to communicate with families. Perform other duties as assigned by Head Teacher.
