Ballot By Mail Temporary Position
Position Overview:
Successful applicants will be trained and perform Ballot by Mail (BBM) duties and responsibilities in one or more of the following areas: Mail Processing, Imaging, Correspondence, Ballot Now, Data Entry or Federal Post Card Application (FPCA).
Duties and Responsibilities:
Preparing reports, spreadsheets and other documents as directed.
Assisting with the filing and storage of election records.
Preparing BBM voting materials; assisting with supply handout before and supply returns after an Election.
Inputting data and scanning documents into election-related programs and databases.
Verifying compliance of communications, documents and forms utilized for mail voting with the Texas Election Code.
Supporting other BBM teams as necessary and appropriate.

Requirements:
Must meet all eligibility requirements to register to vote in the State of Texas.
Education:
High School Diploma or G.E.D. equivalent from an accredited educational institution.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Timeliness and consistent availability are required.
Reliable personal transportation needed.
Good communication skills.
Good customer service skills.
Willing to learn new things.
Ability to work under stress.
Ability to work without direct supervision.
Strong attention to detail required.
Flexibility to shift from one area of work to another on short notice.

Temp Full-time | Position End Date: June 12, 2026 - This is a temporary position being onboarded through a Harris Countycontracted agency.
Monday
Friday | 8:00 a.m.
4:30 p.m.
Some 10-12 hour and weekend days can be anticipated.
Work Environment and Physical Demands:
This job operates in a professional office and a warehouse environment.
This role routinely uses standard and commercial scale office equipment, such as computers, phones, copiers, desktop scanners, and printers.
Occasional exposure to warehouse related equipment, such as dollies and forklifts will occur.
Occasionally lifting and carrying 10 to 30 pounds for short distances. May require extended time standing.
Salary:
$17.00 Hourly

Employment is contingent upon passing a background check and drug screen.
