Process Technician

We are seeking a dedicated Process Technician to join our team. You will be responsible for setting up injection molding machines, changing out molds, and ensuring new jobs start up correctly. Your role will involve monitoring machine performance and troubleshooting any issues that arise, including robotics. Communication with maintenance and department managers regarding breakdowns and repairs is key to ensuring operations run smoothly. You will also promote safety and housekeeping, keeping your area clean and organized.
Responsibilities

Set up injection molding machines and change out molds.
Ensure new jobs start up correctly.
Monitor performance of machines and molds, troubleshoot any issues.
Troubleshoot robotics including Epsin, Yushin, and Yaskawa/Motoman.
Start and operate 3 and 6 axis robots.
Communicate with maintenance and department manager regarding breakdowns and repairs.
Promote safety and housekeeping, maintain cleanliness in the work area.
Essential Skills

Robotics troubleshooting
Injection molding setup and operation
Ability to change molds and perform color change
Mechanical and preventive maintenance skills
Experience with mold tooling and tool repair
Additional Skills & Qualifications

2+ years of plastics injection molding technician experience
Strong understanding of the plastic injection molding process
Ability to set up and operate 3?axis and 6?axis robots
Experience troubleshooting molding quality and machine performance issues
Hands?on work and continuous learning mindset

Experience a dynamic manufacturing environment that is not temperature controlled but stays cool with overhead fans. Work on the weekend shift from 6am to 6pm, enjoying the advantage of working 36 hours and being paid for 40 hours. Training will be provided on the 1st shift, consisting of 8-hour shifts.
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Plainfield, IN. The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $35.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
