Quality Assurance Technician Muldrow 2nd Shift

Position Summary:
This position verifies that all product and regulatory documentation is accurate, correct, and complete prior to all product(s) shipping from the facility.
Records all applicable information as directed.
Responsible for identifying and isolating questionable product.
Responsible for assuring daily quality activities and required tasks are performed in their area.
Responsible for monitoring and documenting HACCP, GMP and SSOP regulations in their area.
Responsible for verifying all documentation in each area is according to regulations and is complete prior to pre-shipment verifications.
Responsible for assuring each pallet of product processed is pre-shipment verified prior to leaving the floor.
Responsible for obtaining finished product samples for the laboratory.
Responsible for assuring products processed meet all in plant food safety requirements.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos written in English.
Ability to write simple correspondence in English.
Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
Must be able to pass the Quality Control math test.
While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms. The employee is frequently required to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to climb or balance and taste or smell. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision.
While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly exposed to wet and/or humid conditions and moving mechanical parts. The employee is frequently exposed to extreme heat. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
