Job Summary
This position requires operating a forklift in a rugged 50+ acre outdoor, paved and unpaved environment. The successful candidate must be able to work in a fast-paced, covered and uncovered manufacturing facility.
Job Responsibilities
Operate heavy equipment, specifically a front-end loader and/or forklift, and production machinery as directed and specified while adhering to all safety rules and regulations
Load bins for production while ensuring product is correct mix and quantity to prevent delay in the production process
Keep work area clean
Read job specifications to determine machine adjustments and material requirements
Assist machine operators to set up machines and any other necessary tasks to adhere to deadlines and completion of product
Other duties and responsibilities related to the nature of the job may be assigned on a temporary or permanent basis as needed.
Job Requirements
High school diploma or GED equivalent; or at least three years of related manufacturing experience in trades specific to job requirements; or equivalent combination of education and experience
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, shipping and receiving tickets, and procedure manuals
Must be able to pass internal certification program
Must have the ability to lift and/or move up to 50 lbs.
