POSITION SUMMARY
The Mechanical Assembler

Blasting Equipment will be responsible for assembling, installing and testing mechanical systems. This role requires the ability to read and interpret technical drawings, follow detailed instructions, and ensure all assemblies meet quality standards. The Mechanical Assembler is a safety sensitive position that works primarily on new equipment assembly.
This is an hourly position that reports directly to the Area Shop Foreman.
PRIMARY DUTIES
Assemble mechanical components including motors, pumps, valves, and structural assemblies
Install and route hydraulic lines, fittings and components
Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and assembly drawings
Use hand tools, power tools, and measuring instruments to complete assemblies
Inspect and verify components meet specifications and quality standards
Conduct leak test on pressure equipment
Perform basic electrical assembly including wiring and component installation
Welding experience preferred but not required
Operate equipment safely and efficiently including overhead cranes and forklifts
Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean work environment
Work independently or as part of a team to meet production deadlines
Wearing safety clothing and using protective equipment
REQUIREMENTS
High School Diploma or GED
Ability to read and understand blueprints
1+ years of shop experience
Attention to detail
Ability to work with your hands
Basic math and design skills.
