Description

We have been making quality beverages for the Midwest since 1872 and supplying them from 14 distribution centers across Iowa, Nebraska, and South Dakota.
Position Summary: Responsible for preparing and mixing various ingredients according to specified instructions, to produce finished syrup for blending on bottling and can lines. You will also monitor and control syrup flow to the production lines. In addition, you will perform sanitation and CIPs for all batching and water treatment equipment.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Uphold all safety practices to prevent injury from unsafe work practices and/ or conditions. Report all safety hazards or potential hazards to the safety team representative and management
Monitor plant sanitation and personal hygiene as outline by Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) for food processing facilities and current company GMP Policies.
Follow all required work instructions, work aids and forms as they pertain to Quality, Environment, Safety, and Food Safety
Understand, monitor and act accordingly to support: ISO-GFSI compliance, FDA-FSMA regulatory requirements, Food Safety & Quality programs as implemented by the company. This individual has the authority responsibility to stop production should the product be out of specification and/or observed food safety or compliance breach
Become certified to operate an electric pallet jack to move raw materials
Actively participate in continuous improvement, lean practices, food safety, environmental and plant safety programs
Able to react to change productively and handle other essential tasks as assigned
Conduct precise manual inventory counts of all raw materials, ensuring data accuracy and supporting efficient production planning.
Preparing and mixing batches according to the production schedule to ensure timely and consistent supply for operations.
Fill in for the Production Planning Supervisor during their absence by overseeing scheduling, purchasing, coordinating production activities, and ensuring operations run smoothly.
Qualifications

Education/Experience:
Must be 18 years of age
High-School Diploma/GED
Bachelor's Degree in Science or related field preferred
1-3 years prior production/manufacturing experience or 2+ years of lab technician experience
Mixing and batching experience in food or beverage industry highly preferred
Familiarity with lab safety and handling hazardous materials

Must be able to read, speak, and write in English to be able to communicate with supervisor and co-workers and to operate equipment.
Work Environment: Works in a production environment. Ear protection is required in production areas. Must wear hair/beard net and hi-vis vest in designated areas.

FLSA Status: Hourly/Non-Exempt
Work Schedule: Sunday-Thursday 4pm-2am or shift completion
