Surgical Dental Assistant / Lead Clinical Assistant

Our state-of-the-art periodontal and implant practice is seeking an experienced Surgical Dental Assistant (or Lead Assistant) to join our dynamic team of Board-Certified Periodontists. This is a unique opportunity to work in a highly advanced, minimally invasive surgical environment focused on life-changing patient care.

About Our Practice:
We are a modern periodontal specialty practice with over 20 years of excellence, known for delivering high-quality, life-changing care. Our office is fully equipped with advanced technology and driven by a commitment to innovation, precision, and patient outcomes.
Schedule:
Surgical schedule 2–3 days per week
Administrative/planning time built into schedule
Fridays off or early dismissal
Duties & Responsibilities:
Assist in oral surgery procedures including dental implants and full-arch cases
Set up, monitor, and support IV sedation procedures
Prepare and maintain surgical instruments and operatory setups
Coordinate and plan complex surgical cases with the clinical team
Order and manage surgical and dental supplies efficiently
Support and help lead clinical team members including assistants and sterilization staff
Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with safety protocols
Deliver exceptional patient care throughout the surgical experience
Requirements:
3–7+ years of experience in oral surgery, periodontics, or a surgical dental setting
Strong experience with dental implants and IV sedation
Familiarity with CBCT, 3D imaging, and digital workflows (3Shape preferred)
Strong organizational, multitasking, and computer skills
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
High level of professionalism and attention to detail
Proven track record of reliability and long-term employment
Pay & Compensation:
Competitive hourly pay based on experience
Performance bonuses (averaging 12%–34% above hourly earnings)
Sign-on bonus up to $1,000 for highly qualified candidates
