221-bed acute care hospital

Level II Trauma Center , providing the only full-service cardiovascular program in the area. Services include
open-heart surgery, interventional cardiology, electrophysiology, cardiac rehabilitation, diagnostic services , as well as orthopedic and spine care, robotic surgery, acute inpatient rehab, and complete imaging services.
The
CVICU RN
delivers high-acuity care for post-cardiac surgery and critically ill cardiovascular patients. This role requires close monitoring, frequent assessments, and the ability to act autonomously in critical situations.
Key Responsibilities
Serve as a patient and family advocate, maintaining privacy and confidentiality
Provide focused care with continuous assessment and improvement
Instruct patients and families regarding medications, procedures, and treatment plans
Utilize clinical judgment to manage care safely and effectively
Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure quality outcomes
Qualifications
1+ year of recent ICU RN experience
in an acute care setting required
Florida RN license or multistate RN license (Compact license holders have 60 days to obtain FL license)
Associate Degree or Nursing Diploma required
Certifications required:
BCLS
within 30 days of hire
ACLS
within 6 months of hire
PALS
within 6 months of hire
NIH Stroke Scale
within 30 days of hire
Nonviolent Crisis Intervention
within 6 months
Unit Beds:
12
Patient Ratio:
1:1 or 1:2 depending on acuity
