Production Operator – BGA Rework

Job Summary
The Production Operator - BGA Rework focuses on the manual touch-up, BGA rework, hand-soldering, rework-SMT and inspection of the circuit board, ensuring high quality standards. Reports directly to the Production and Warehouse Operations Manager at Unigen HQ, Newark, CA.
Primary Job Responsibilities
Perform BGA and Non-BGA component Rework
Demonstrate detailed practical knowledge of all the steps and aspects of BGA rework station operation
Perform BGA localized paste printing and through-hole rework
Use automated BGA soldering equipment
Demonstrate detailed knowledge — and complete all the steps — of both leaded/Pb-Free and clean
o-clean processes
Identify component polarity on the board and follow work instructions accordingly
Perform rework equipment operation, using soldering iron and hot-air tools
Achieve timely completion of rework according to set parameters and requirements
Demonstrate detailed practical knowledge of all rework tools and utilize as appropriate
Perform Touch-up rework tasks
Perform soldering and board rework for SMT (Surface Mount Technology)
Perform hand soldering on any type of board
Demonstrate detailed practical knowledge of solder pot operation
Read and follow BOM and rework instructions
Install jumper wire per IPC
Repair damaged pad and trace
Perform Gold finger re-plating/repair
Perform ad-hoc complex PCBA rework not covered by standard basic instructions
Other duties and responsibilities related to other production functions, as assigned.
Required Experience and Qualifications
Prior 4+ years of practical manufacturing experience.
Knowledge of ESD, board handling, and safety practices including personal protective equipment.
Knowledge of components and their polarity, including resistors and capacitors.
Knowledge of IPC-610 and J-STD-001 soldering standards.
Knowledge of latest revision-class 3 workmanship criteria is a plus.
Salary
Salary Range: $25.00 - $30.00 / Hour
