Job Title: Warehouse Worker - $20/hour

Job Description

The Warehouse Worker plays a key role in daily warehouse operations by accurately picking, packing, staging, and loading materials for shipment, receiving and inspecting incoming goods, and safely operating warehouse equipment. This position supports efficient inventory control, maintains a clean and organized work area, and collaborates closely with team members and supervisors to ensure smooth, safe, and timely warehouse operations on rotating 12-hour shifts.

Responsibilities

Pick, pack, stage, and load materials for shipment with accuracy and care.

Receive and inspect incoming materials, verifying quantities and quality, and ensure all documentation is accurate and complete.

Operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment safely; training is provided as needed.

Perform loading and unloading of trucks and materials using proper material handling techniques.

Use RF scanners and basic computer systems to support order picking, inventory control, and shipping and receiving activities.

Assist with inventory counts and cycle checks to maintain accurate stock levels.

Palletize, label, and organize products and materials according to company standards.

Use hand tools and power tools as needed for general labor and warehouse tasks.

Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area in compliance with company procedures.

Follow all safety protocols, warehouse policies, and company procedures at all times.

Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to coordinate daily tasks and resolve issues.

Perform other general warehouse duties and material handling tasks as assigned.

Essential Skills

High School Diploma or GED required.

Minimum 2 years of warehouse experience preferred.

Proven ability to lift 50+ pounds on a regular basis.

Willingness to work rotating 12-hour shifts, including weekends.

Basic computer skills, including use of Outlook and Microsoft Office.

Forklift certification or the ability to become certified within company guidelines.

Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

Experience with picking, packing, loading, unloading, and general material handling.

Ability to follow safety protocols and standard operating procedures consistently.

Effective communication skills for working with team members and supervisors.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Experience with RF scanners for order picking and inventory control.

Experience in shipping and receiving operations.

Hands-on experience with palletizing and staging orders for shipment.

Familiarity with sit-down forklifts and other warehouse equipment.

Comfort using hand tools and power tools for general warehouse tasks.

Previous involvement in inventory control, cycle counting, or stock management.

Demonstrated reliability, strong work ethic, and willingness to assist in various warehouse duties.

Work Environment

This position is based in a warehouse setting that involves standing, walking, lifting, and moving materials throughout 12-hour rotating shifts, including weekends. You will work with a variety of warehouse technologies and equipment, such as forklifts, sit-down forklifts, RF scanners, pallet jacks, hand tools, and power tools, as well as basic computer systems including Outlook and Microsoft Office. The environment is fast-paced and safety-focused, with an emphasis on maintaining clean, organized work areas and following established safety procedures at all times. Appropriate work attire suitable for an active warehouse setting is required.

This is a Permanent position based out of Decatur, AL.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $41600.00 - $41600.00/yr.

DP Company paid benefits Monthly bonus for production
