Job Title: Warehouse Worker
Job Description
The Warehouse Worker receives, stores, and ships materials accurately and efficiently while maintaining a safe, organized, and clean warehouse. This role involves handling inbound and outbound shipments, operating material handling equipment, maintaining inventory records, and preparing orders for delivery using barcode scanning technology. The position requires strong attention to detail, reliability, and the ability to work as part of a collaborative warehouse team.
Responsibilities
Receive and unload incoming materials and verify packing slips against purchase orders to ensure the accuracy of each shipment.
Process return shipments from customers when needed, following established procedures.
Sort, count, package, and unpack inbound and outbound materials to support order fulfillment and inventory control.
Use handheld barcode scanners and RF scanners to complete all required documentation for inbound and outbound materials.
Accurately pull orders through completion and stage materials in designated loading and unloading areas.
Inspect materials for damage or defects and promptly notify a supervisor or purchasing personnel of any issues.
Fill and maintain bins and racks, monitor inventory levels, and maintain accurate warehouse inventory and records.
Prepare shipments for transport by selecting the most economical and efficient shipping method and choosing appropriate shipping containers.
Pack products securely to ensure safe delivery to customers.
Enter data for UPS orders and ensure shipping information is accurate and complete.
Load and unload trucks and trailers safely and efficiently.
Build pallets and arrange products to maximize stability and safety.
Maintain pallet racks and aisles in an organized and safe condition.
Band and wrap skids and assemble boxes as needed for shipping and storage.
Assist with inventory management, including performing physical inventory counts and reconciling discrepancies.
Follow and support all safety-related regulations, policies, and procedures in the warehouse.
Serve as an active member of the warehouse team and provide assistance to coworkers as needed.
Keep the supervisor informed of key issues, delays, or problems affecting warehouse operations.
Perform general labor and material handling tasks as required to support daily operations.
Carry out other duties as assigned to support warehouse and shipping activities.
Essential Skills
Experience with order pulling, order picking, and preparing orders for shipment.
Proficiency in material handling, including loading, unloading, and moving products safely.
Ability to count inventory accurately and assist with inventory control activities.
Experience sorting product, packaging items, and building pallets for shipment.
Ability to band and wrap skids and prepare pallets for loading into trailers.
Experience loading trailers and working in shipping and receiving operations.
Ability to operate a sit-down forklift and pallet jack safely.
Experience using RF or handheld barcode scanners for inventory and order processing.
Capability to stand, bend, twist, and lift up to 50–70 pounds on a regular basis.
Basic reading and math skills to interpret labels, packing slips, and inventory documents.
Ability to use hand and power tools safely and effectively.
General labor experience in a warehouse or similar environment.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Strong attention to detail and accuracy when pulling, counting, and packaging orders.
Reliable work habits and the ability to follow established processes and safety procedures.
Willingness to perform physical inventory and assist with inventory management activities.

Work Environment
This role follows a Monday through Friday schedule, typically from 8:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. The work takes place in a small warehouse with a friendly, family-style environment. The facility uses fans and keeps dock doors open, so temperatures vary with the seasons, being colder in winter and warmer in summer, especially inside trucks during loading and unloading. The position is physically active, requiring regular standing, bending, twisting, lifting, and moving materials throughout the shift. Standard warehouse equipment is used, including sit-down forklifts, pallet jacks, RF and handheld barcode scanners, and common hand and power tools. The environment allows for one earbud to be worn, supporting a comfortable and focused workday while maintaining safety and awareness on the warehouse floor.

The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $19.00/hr.
