Summary
Administers a variety of Respiratory Therapy modalities and interventions to patients according to physician order and/or hospital approved policies and protocols based on evidenced based research, guidelines, and algorithms.
Formal Education Required
Graduate of an AMA or CoARC approved program for Respiratory Therapists (Registry eligible).
Experience And Training Required
Valid Ohio license (RCP) to practice Respiratory Care, granted by the State Medical Board of Ohio.
Must be a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) & obtain RRT within 120 days of employment (start date).
Other Skills, Competencies And Qualifications
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Population Specific Competency: Ability to effectively interact with populations of patients/customers with an understanding of their needs for self-respect and dignity.
Level Of Physical Demands
Heavy: Exerts 50-100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 25 to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or 10 to 20 pounds of force continuously to move objects.
