Summary Statement
Duties include supporting the office of evidence-based practice team in monitoring grants and programs, collecting data, communicating with stakeholders, and tracking invoices. This staff member is an essential part of a team that grows evidence‑based practices for children, youth, and families throughout Delaware. The staff member will also support other activities in the division’s continuous quality improvement and consultation unit.
Essential Functions

Plan, develop, and administer a small statewide program; evaluate and recommend program policies, procedures, and operational changes.
Develop program eligibility questionnaires and related promotional/informational materials regarding the program policy and procedures, fees, and requirements.
Establish and maintain regular contacts with program stakeholders and explain policies, procedures, and program requirements to the general public.
Prepare program budget, grant proposals, and grant administration; track and monitor funding collected and disbursed.
Analyze and take corrective action regarding operating practices and procedures including personnel, workflow, and cost reduction.
Provide information concerning the program to the media, community, and other interested groups. Establish and coordinate a statewide marketing system.
Prepare a variety of records, reports, and summaries relative to the program.
Job Requirements
Applicants must have education, training, and/or experience demonstrating competence in each of the following areas:
At least six months of experience in public relations, media relations, or communications such as establishing and promoting a positive image with the public and informing or influencing specific audiences using internal and external communications, including public forums, journalism, writing, marketing, advertising, promotions, or special events.
At least six months of experience planning, developing, implementing, and evaluating programs.
Knowledge of budget management and control, including managing a budget to keep expenditures within the limitations of available appropriations and revenue, and maintaining, monitoring, projecting, and controlling a budget within set policies and procedures.

This is a casual/seasonal position, which is a non‑pension eligible position without healthcare and/or other benefits.
