Recording Specialist
As a Recording Specialist, you will be responsible for receiving mortgage files from notaries or clients from lenders. You will audit the package, ensure quality control requirements are met, update reports, audit documents, and make necessary corrections. You will interact with notaries to clear exceptions and communicate via telephone or email with clients. The role involves handling 25 files per day, increasing to 150-250 files during peak times. This position requires a self-starter who can begin contributing immediately with minimal formal training.
Responsibilities
Receive and audit mortgage files from notaries or clients.
Perform quality control checks and update reports.
Audit and correct documents as necessary.
Communicate with notaries to resolve exceptions.
Correspond with clients via telephone or email.
Handle 25 files per day, increasing to 150-250 files during busy periods.
Essential Skills
Experience with mortgage document recognition, especially recordable documents.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy.
Positive attitude and self-starter mentality.
3-6 months of related experience in financial services.
High School Diploma or General Education Diploma (GED).
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience from a settlement or title company is required.
Candidate should be from a title, settlement agent shop, or national vendor management company with knowledge of mortgage closing documents.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
