Customs Entry Writer

Location: Monterey Park, CA – In office

Salary: $25–$30 per hour (depending on experience)

We’re seeking a detail-oriented Customs Entry Writer to join a fast-paced freight forwarding operation in Monterey Park. You will play a critical role in ensuring freight moves efficiently through customs and reaches its destination compliantly and on time.

About the role

• Prepare, review and process customs entries and related import documentation
• Coordinate U.S. Customs Brokerage activities to ensure efficient cargo clearance
• Manage ISF filings and ensure compliance with customs and insurance requirements
• Investigate and plan optimal shipment routes based on cost, timing, security and cargo type
• Liaise with carriers, customers and third parties across road, rail, air and sea freight
• Maintain smooth movement of goods in line with customer deadlines and regulatory requirements
• Stay current on customs regulations, legislation and factors affecting freight movement

What we need from you

• 1–2 years of customs clearance experience, including ISF filing and import procedures
• Experience using CargoWise software
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Experience building and maintaining customer relationships
• Ability to pass TSA background requirements and criminal background screening
