We’re looking for a Press Officer – Influencer & Media to lead on influencer engagement and media partnerships across Assembly Festival and Edinburgh Food & Folk Festival.
This role focuses on amplifying campaign activity through creators, talent and media collaborations, ensuring our programme reaches the widest and most relevant audiences. The role plays an active part in supporting traditional media and public relations activity across the Press team, working closely with the Press Officer and Manager.
You’ll be part of a fast-paced Marketing & Communications team delivering high-impact campaigns during the Edinburgh Festival Fringe — helping shape how Assembly Festival shows are discovered, talked about and experienced.
Contract Details
Contract Period: June – September 2026
Contract Type: Fixed Term PAYE or Freelance available depending on candidate.
Working Hours: 40 hours per week (48 hours during peak Fringe period)
Office-based (central Edinburgh) July & August with flexible working by agreement
Evening and weekend work required
Pay: £125/day up to 6 days per week.
What You’ll Do
Identify, engage and manage relationships with influencers, creators and media partners
Plan and deliver influencer campaigns aligned to priority shows, venues and campaign moments
Brief, coordinate and approve influencer content across mainly Instagram and TikTok
Manage coverage tracking of influencer content
Support amplification of key moments
Deliver agreed partnership activity ensuring strong brand representation
Track performance of influencer and partnership activity and adapt approach accordingly
Press & PR Support
Support the Press Officer and Manager with traditional media and PR activity
Assist with press campaigns, outreach and coverage opportunities
Contribute to listings, press materials and campaign messaging
Support press operations during peak periods i
What We’re Looking For
Experience working with influencers, creators, PR or media partnerships
Strong understanding of social platforms and content trends
Excellent communication and relationship management skills
Ability manage multiple priorities
Commercial awareness and understanding of campaign objectives
Proactive approach
Interest in arts and live events

High-quality influencer partnerships, strong reach and engagement
Clear contribution to campaign visibility and audience growth
Strong support provided to the wider Press team
