A contract opportunity is available for a Physical Therapist specializing in school-based services located in Lower Bucks County, PA. The position supports Extended School Year (ESY) programs, providing essential therapy services to students with diverse needs.
Location:
Lower Bucks County, PA (Doylestown area)
Contract Duration:
June 23, 2025 – July 30, 2026
Schedule:
ESY Instructional Dates: June 29 – July 30, 2026
Days: Monday through Thursday
Student Service Hours: 9:00 AM – 2:30 PM (Center-Based Staff: 8:45 AM – 2:45 PM)
Hours per week vary by site, approximately 12–24 hours
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver high-quality physical therapy services to school-aged students in various educational settings
Collaborate with educators and related service staff to develop and implement individualized plans supporting student goals
Provide services in both itinerant and center-based formats as assigned
Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with regulatory requirements
Adapt therapy interventions to meet the needs of students with moderate to severe disabilities, including behavioral considerations
Qualifications:
Valid Pennsylvania Department of Education Physical Therapist credential
Experience providing school-based physical therapy, preferably in an ESY context
Reliable transportation and residence within 35 minutes of the work area minimum
Ability to commit to the full ESY schedule and related orientation sessions
Willingness and capability to work with students requiring moderate to severe support
Strong communication skills, ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
Additional Requirements:
Submission of resume and documentation of active licensure
One supervisor reference from a PT role (not coworker), with a 3.5+ rating if applicable
Completion of screening questions addressing credentialing awareness, work availability, commuting plan, and employment history
Candidates who have worked through another agency with this client within the past year are not eligible
