Scott Humphrey has partnered with a large and reputable general contractor with a strong regional presence and a portfolio spanning delivered high-quality tenant improvement, adaptive reuse, historic preservation, corporate office, and hospitality projects across Texas in finding their next preconstruction manager for their Austin Office.
Leads and manages the full Preconstruction process from project inception through start of construction. Accountable for budgeting, estimating, stakeholder coordination, and process execution.
The Estimator will have a strong track record of completing takeoffs and estimates for ground-up and/or renovation/upfit projects
Responsibilities:
Provide field oversight for all phases of assigned construction projects
Develop and manage project schedules.
Manage subcontractor performance relationships.
Be responsible for both the timeliness and total quality of assigned projects.
Prepare project documentation for coordination and effective site management.
Implement and execute Quality Control/Quality Assurance program.
Promote an Injury-free job site through safety initiatives and award winning Company safety program.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or related field
Minimum of 2 years of commercial construction experience
Strong knowledge of estimating, scheduling, contracts, and cost control
Proven leadership and project management experience
Regional market awareness preferred
