
Payroll Manager - Contract

We are seeking an experienced
Payroll Manager
to support payroll operations on a short‑term contract basis. This role will be responsible for overseeing end‑to‑end payroll processing using
Dayforce . The ideal candidate can step in quickly, operate independently, and ensure timely, accurate payroll during the contract period.
Key Responsibilities
Manage and oversee full‑cycle payroll processing using Ceridian Dayforce
Run multi‑state payroll, including California wage and hour laws
Ensure compliance with state‑specific requirements (overtime, meal/rest periods, final pay, PTO, sick leave, taxes)
Review and approve payroll registers, audits, and variance reports
Handle off‑cycle payrolls, corrections, and adjustments as needed
Coordinate payroll tax filings and ensure accurate deductions and withholdings
Partner with HR and Finance to resolve payroll issues and employee inquiries
Maintain documentation and support payroll‑related audits
Support year‑end processes if applicable (W‑2s, reconciliations)
Compensation:
$48/hr to $55/hr.
Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.
