SEC Reporting Manager

Our client has an immediate need for for a contract (potentially contract to perm) SEC Reporting Manager
Overview:
We are actively seeking an experienced SEC Reporting Manager to step in immediately and support critical financial reporting deliverables. This is a high-priority contract role where you’ll play a key part in ensuring timely, accurate SEC filings and helping the team navigate an active reporting cycle.
We’re looking for someone who can hit the ground running, take ownership quickly, and operate with minimal ramp-up in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
Responsibilities:
Own the preparation and review of SEC filings, including 10-K, 10-Q, and 8-K, with immediate impact
Ensure full compliance with U.S. GAAP and SEC reporting requirements under tight timelines
Draft and refine financial statements, footnotes, and MD&A disclosures
Partner closely with internal stakeholders and external auditors during active filing cycles
Jump in to support month-end and quarter-end close processes as needed
Address technical accounting issues and document conclusions efficiently
Assess and strengthen SOX controls tied to financial reporting
Collaborate cross-functionally with FP&A, Legal, and Finance leadership to keep deliverables on track
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA strongly preferred
5–8+ years of relevant experience, including Big 4 and/or public company SEC reporting
Proven ability to prepare and review 10-K and 10-Q filings with minimal oversight
Strong command of U.S. GAAP, SEC regulations, and SOX compliance
Ability to operate independently, prioritize quickly, and meet aggressive deadlines
Strong attention to detail without losing sight of the bigger picture
Clear communicator who can work efficiently across teams
Additional Skills:
Experience in a publicly traded environment
Familiarity with tools like Workiva (Wdesk), Hyperion, SAP, or similar
