Position Summary:

The Due Diligence Senior Consultant within Securitizations will be responsible for the management and support of the company's residential mortgage purchase, sale and securitized transactions. The candidate will be responsible for the overall due diligence coordination and deal management of bulk and flow purchase transactions and the due diligence process related to securitized transactions. The ability to successfully manage internal and external relationships is critical to this role. The position requires experience in the mortgage industry, bulk whole loan purchase/sale transactions, flow whole loan purchases and security transactions. This position will have high level interaction with internal parties including the trading desk, legal, compliance, contract finance and external parities including buyers/sellers, rating agencies, and vendors.

Primary Responsibilities:

Due Diligence

– Reviewing/analyzing the diligence reports to ensure that the loans meet the Rating Agencies requirements and gradings related to securitized transactions
Compliance

– Knowledge as to TRID/ATR/RESPA/TILA/QM regulations and what is needed to clear or cure any issues as well as High Priced Mortgage Loans (HPML) both State and Federal.
Valuations

– Securitization requirements and the waterfall regarding values needed
Credit

– Knowledge of guidelines, industry standards, Rating Agency requirements/gradings and review of diligence reports and data tapes
Manage the overall due diligence process on purchase and sale transactions (credit and compliance underwriting, data integrity, valuation) and summarize results with appropriate stakeholders
Understanding of Prime and Non-QM loans with complex sources of income, multiple layers of assets, high level of credit utilization
Familiar with fraud detection techniques and resolution
Excellent understanding underwriting guidesTrack and resolve collateral exceptions with third party custodians

Qualifications:

Track and resolve collateral exceptions with third party custodians
8+ years of mortgage industry experience specifically in due diligence, underwriting and mortgage originations
Knowledge/familiarity with current mortgage and compliance laws and regulations
Experience working with Securitized Transactions
Advanced Excel skills and ability to work in varied systems
Bachelors Degree
Excellent oral and written communication skills along with attention to details
