Role Summary:
We are seeking a highly experienced
SRE Consultant
to act as a bridge between central reliability operations and various Lines of Business (LOBs). You will be responsible for defining, implementing, and maturing SRE models across the enterprise, transitioning traditional Production Operations into a modern, SRE-driven ecosystem.
Key Responsibilities:
Engagement & Strategy:
Partner with the team to understand hub operations and specific LOB needs. Develop a comprehensive view of SRE implementation and identify gaps in existing models.
Practice Maturation:
Support LOBs in adopting SRE practices through thorough analysis, viable technical proposals, and active contribution to the new operating model.
Maturity Assessments:
Define engagement models based on tower maturity and skill readiness. Conduct detailed assessments to recommend targeted interventions for capability gaps.
Organizational Mapping:
Map current Production Operations functions and personnel to specific SRE roles. Identify skill gaps and develop necessary reskilling or replacement strategies.
Roadmap Execution:
Develop and execute tower-specific road maps for SRE adoption, including coaching plans, tooling strategies, and governance models.
Operational Transition:
Define the boundaries between retained traditional operations and SRE ownership. Create and execute a transition plan to shift from legacy models to an SRE-driven approach.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Total Experience:
15+ years of overall experience in IT/Production Operations.
SRE Expertise:
5+ years of dedicated experience in a
Site Reliability Engineering (SRE)
role.
Cloud Proficiency:
Advanced hands-on experience with
AWS
(Amazon Web Services).
Observability:
Expert-level knowledge of
Dynatrace
for performance monitoring and proactive reliability management.
Consultative Approach:
Proven ability to define engagement models and lead large-scale organizational transitions.
Leadership:
Experience coaching technical teams and managing governance models within a complex enterprise environment.
