Position Overview
We are seeking a Mechanical Engineer to support the design, development, and documentation of industrial machinery. This role involves hands-on mechanical design work, detailed documentation, and close collaboration with shop and assembly teams to ensure designs are manufacturable, accurate, and effectively implemented.
Key Responsibilities
Design mechanical systems and machines from concept through completion, including new designs and modifications to existing equipment
Create detailed mechanical drawings and layouts for manufacturing and assembly
Develop and maintain Bills of Materials (BOMs) and Drawing Lists
Update drawings, layouts, BOMs, and Drawing Lists based on feedback from Shop and Assembly teams
Answer technical questions and provide engineering support to Shop and Assembly personnel
Create customer proposal and concept drawings
Capture photos and video documentation as needed to support projects and customer communication
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical field (or equivalent experience)
Proficiency with SolidWorks solid modeling software
Ability to create and modify drawings using AutoCAD
Experience creating detailed mechanical drawings, layouts, and BOMs
Strong communication skills and ability to work closely with manufacturing teams
Preferred Qualifications
Experience designing custom industrial machinery or automated equipment
Hands-on exposure to manufacturing or assembly environments
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize effectively
