Job Title: Accountant
Location: Oklahoma City, OK (On-Site)
Position Type: Contract, with likelihood to become permanent

Pay: $28-31/HR
Responsibilities
Process daily accounting transactions including fund activity, journal entries, inter-fund transfers, and general ledger maintenance.
Review and record gifts, grants, scholarships, donor contributions, and stock/mutual fund activity with accuracy and compliance.
Perform monthly bank reconciliations, check register balancing, Stripe/credit card reconciliations, and support cash management activities.
Prepare investment reconciliations, post earnings and allocations, record distributions, and maintain investment-related accounting activity.
Assist with quarterly financial statements, internal management reports, and financial reporting for publication.
Support annual audit activities, audit confirmations, tax filings, and compliance with GAAP, UPMIFA, and FASB standards.
Process accounts payable and disbursements including grants, scholarships, trust payments, ACH, checks, and credit card transactions while ensuring proper coding and documentation.
Assist with 1099 preparation, W-9 collection, sales tax reporting, and special projects as needed.
Qualifications
3+ years accounting experience (strong knowledge of general ledger, reconciliations, financial reporting, GAAP)
Ability to interpret and analyze financial statements and periodicals
Fluency in Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
Bachelor's degree in Accounting
