
EHS Lead (Facilities) (Billerica)

Location: 100% On-site (Billerica, MA)
Schedule: Monday – Friday, standard business hours (approx. 8-hour shifts starting between 7:00 AM and 8:00 AM)
Overview
Work with a global leader in energy technology as an HSE & Facilities Lead. In this dual-impact role, you will be the primary point of contact for Health, Safety, and Environmental compliance at a manufacturing and R&D site in Billerica. You will support the Operations Manager by overseeing safety policies and facility maintenance during an exciting period of site consolidation and construction.
Key Responsibilities
Lead monthly HSE walkthroughs and audits across manufacturing areas and R&D labs.
Enforce safety policies, conduct risk assessments, and ensure compliance with state and federal regulations.
Manage administrative HSE duties, including OSHA recording and environmental reporting.
Oversee facilities operations, including building maintenance, security, and coordinating with third-party contractors/subcontractors for repairs.
Manage Facilities and HSE purchase orders using Ariba (training provided).
Lead incident investigations and site emergency preparedness initiatives.
Required Qualifications
Hands-on experience managing both Facility Operations and Health, Safety, & Environment (HSE) within a manufacturing environment.
Strong technical understanding of OSHA and environmental regulations at both the State (Massachusetts) and Federal levels.
Must have hands‑on experience preparing, filing, and managing OSHA and state/local regulatory reporting.
Proven experience in facilities coordination, including managing contractor relationships.
A proactive approach to troubleshooting facility issues and mitigating safety risks.
Associate degree or higher
Preferred Qualifications
Formal OSHA certifications.
Prior experience using SAP or Ariba for procurement and PO management.
Experience managing safety/facilities during site construction or consolidation projects.
