Arden Search is partnered with a private equity-backed organization in their search for a Controller to serve as the senior-most accounting leader across the business.
This is a high-impact, build-and-lead role reporting directly to the CFO. You’ll own the integrity of their accounting function and create the accounting blueprint/structure for a high-growth manufacturing company.

The Opportunity
This role sits at the center of the organization’s financial operations. You’ll establish consistency across 3 entites, strengthen internal controls, and build a clean, repeatable close and reporting cadence. From consolidation to audit, you’ll own the full picture - ensuring leadership has accurate, timely financials they can trust.

Responsibilities
Own the accuracy and delivery of consolidated GAAP financial statements
Lead and standardize the close process across all entities
Establish consistent accounting policies across the organization
Ensure alignment between accounting results and FP&A reporting
Serve as the central accounting authority across all operating locations/manufacturing sites
Drive accountability, consistency, and performance across the team
Partner with operations, sales, HR, and IT to ensure financial data integrity
Translate accounting into clear, actionable insights for leadership
Support the broader business with accurate, decision-ready financial information
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in accounting
CPA license is a HUGE plus
8–15 years of progressive accounting experience
Demonstrated experience managing or overseeing a financial close process across multiple entities or locations
Strong technical accounting knowledge, including GAAP, consolidations, intercompany accounting, and transaction accounting
Excellent communication skills with the ability to present complex accounting matters clearly to non-financial stakeholders and senior leadership
Experience in industrial, manufacturing, construction, or services-based environments
Experience in private equity-backed or acquisitive businesses
Exposure to ERP migrations or multi-system consolidation environments
Experience standardizing accounting processes across acquired entities
