Responsibilities:
Design and develop
mechanical hardware
concepts using
3D CAD
( NX / Creo ) to meet technical and performance requirements
Support full lifecycle engineering including concept modeling,
prototype development , and
production release
Collaborate within cross-functional teams to meet program requirements for cost, schedule, and performance
Ensure designs align with system-level
integration
requirements across vehicle subsystems
Work with drafting teams to mature designs into production-ready configurations
Oversee release of
models and drawings
in compliance with
ASME Y14.100
standards
Support manufacturing and
integration
of hardware onto prototype and production platforms
Participate in
testing
and
verification
activities for developed components
Lead
Root Cause
and
Corrective Action
( RCCA ) investigations for design and production issues
Qualifications:
Bachelor ’s degree in Mechanical,
Mechatronics , or
Aerospace Engineering
(ABET accredited)
3–5 years in product or mechanical
design engineering
Ability to obtain a U.S.
DoD
security clearance (active clearance preferred)
Proficiency in
3D CAD
( NX
and/or
Creo )
Technical Skills:
GD&T
( Geometric Dimensioning
&
Tolerancing ) interpretation and application
Hardware design
for
mechanisms
( latches ,
hinges ,
actuation systems , etc.)
Industry Experience (Preferred):
Defense ,
military vehicles , or aerospace
Systems/Tools (Preferred):
Teamcenter
or similar
PLM
systems
Proficiency with
Microsoft 365
Ability to support overtime as needed
Travel up to 10% to facilities and military installations
On-site role (up to 100%)
