
Staff Accountant

A leading wholesaler & distributor is seeking a Staff Accountant to join their team. As a key member of the team, this position plays a vital role in the month-end accounting close and financial reporting. Your ability to multitask and adapt to various responsibilities will be essential in supporting our manufacturing and distribution operations.
Responsibilities
General Ledger Management:
Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts.
Prepare journal entries and ensure accurate recording of financial transactions.
Collaborate with other departments to resolve discrepancies and ensure data integrity.
Assist with payroll and headcount reporting.
Month-End Close and Reporting:
Assist with month-end close processes.
Run and distribute Daily Sales KPI reports.
Generate financial reporting for management and other internal stakeholders.
Monitor inventory accuracy, excess and obsolete inventory (E&O), bookings and inventory backlog.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Work closely with operations; shipping, receiving and sales, customer service and finance personnel.
Collaborate with IT departments to address system issues.
Use software and spreadsheets to make informed cost decisions related to production.
Effective Communication: Engage with colleagues across departments to address queries related to payroll, finance, and operations.
Adaptability: Thrive in a dynamic environment with shifting priorities.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s or University Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related fields.
1-3+ years of accounting experience
Self-motivated with a proactive attitude.
Knowledge of GAAP, inventory flow, and manufacturing principles.
