
Pediatrics Physician

This role is for a Family Medicine Physician (MD) providing comprehensive outpatient care across all ages, with a strong focus on preventive medicine, primary care, women s health, prenatal/postnatal services, and community health. Working under the Chief Medical Officer (CMO), the provider serves diverse and underserved populations in clinic settings, with flexibility to travel between locations and support urgent staffing needs. The position emphasizes continuity of care, health education, and broad-spectrum family practice without hospital call responsibilities.
Dates / Schedule:
Full-time clinic-based position
Occasional evening and Saturday shifts required
No hospital call or inpatient rounds
May require short-notice travel to multiple clinic sites based on organizational needs
Job Details / Responsibilities:
Deliver comprehensive primary care services for patients of all ages and genders
Provide preventive care, immunizations, STD screenings, physical exams, vision/hearing screenings, and nutrition counseling
Manage prenatal and postnatal care for mothers and infants
Review patient histories, medications, allergies, and immunization records
Order, perform, and interpret diagnostic tests, lab work, and imaging
Diagnose illnesses and develop treatment plans
Prescribe medications and vaccinations
Educate patients on disease prevention, hygiene, and healthy lifestyle practices
Perform minor surgical procedures within competency scope
Refer patients to specialists when necessary
Maintain accurate documentation in patient records and EHR systems
Conduct employment, school, and insurance physicals
Monitor high-risk and emergency patient follow-up
Review and audit Family Planning charts
Participate in annual Family Planning seminars as directed
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Medical Degree (MD)
Active California Medical License
Current DEA Certificate
CPR Certification
ACLS/Advanced Life Support certification
Pediatric residency training
Minimum 2 years of community clinic experience (pediatrics preferred)
Strong knowledge of public health, nonprofit healthcare, and underserved communities
Familiarity with patient management systems and electronic health records
Sound clinical judgment and decision-making skills
Ability to work effectively in fast-paced, changing environments
Knowledge of infection control, safety, and emergency procedures
Strong interpersonal and community communication skills
Ability to work with diverse social and ethnic populations
Bilingual English/Spanish preferred
