Competitive hourly rate with a lot of overtime and $178/day in per diem

Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced

Construction Manager

to support utility-scale power and infrastructure projects through construction and commissioning. This role is responsible for overseeing subcontractors, enforcing safety and quality standards, maintaining schedule, and coordinating daily field execution with project leadership and the client.

Key Responsibilities
Oversee construction activities from mobilization through completion
Ensure subcontractor work complies with drawings, safety requirements, quality standards, and contractual obligations
Coordinate multiple work scopes and subcontractors to maintain schedule and avoid conflicts
Track materials and equipment deliveries and verify correct installation
Maintain current drawing revisions and coordinate field changes with engineering
Identify construction risks and proactively mitigate impacts to schedule and quality
Conduct regular site meetings, safety briefings, and field observations
Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly construction, safety, and quality reports
Support commissioning readiness and turnover activities

Safety and Field Oversight
Enforce site safety programs and permit requirements
Observe and document high risk activities such as hot work, critical lifts, and confined space entry
Perform daily safety observations and site audits
Conduct site orientations for new personnel

Qualifications
Five or more years of experience in power utility construction management
Background in transmission, distribution, substations, testing, or commissioning
Strong understanding of construction drawings and industry standards
Proven ability to manage multiple work fronts simultaneously
Excellent communication skills with field crews, management, and clients
Ability to work independently in a fast-paced field environment
