Proshop manager
Nashville Public Radio, Boca Raton, FL, United States
About the Opportunity
FM Tennis manages the racquet sports program at Newport Bay Club, a premier private residential community in Boca Raton. We’re looking for a sharp, organized, and personable Racquet Sports & Pro Shop Coordinator to be the face of our Pro Shop and the operational backbone of a busy tennis and pickleball facility.
This is primarily a weekday morning role (7:30 AM – 12:30 PM), with the opportunity for additional evening and weekend hours for those who want them. It’s a great fit for someone who is detail-oriented, loves an active club environment, and takes pride in delivering a genuinely warm member experience every single day.
What You’ll Do
Open and manage the Pro Shop each morning — court inspections, facility walkthrough, and ensuring everything is ready before the first players arrive.
Manage court reservations and daily schedules through our PlayByPoint platform — keeping it accurate, current, and clean.
Greet members and guests, collect guest fees, handle payments, and answer questions with a consistently positive, professional attitude.
Coordinate with coaching staff on daily schedules, match days, and visiting team logistics.
Monitor courts throughout the shift and ensure all players are properly registered.
Support social media, event promotion, and newsletter communications — helping spread the word about clinics, socials, and programs to keep our community engaged.
Handle merchandise, stringing orders, and Pro Shop inventory.
Keep detailed daily logs and communicate issues to the Director promptly.
What We’re Looking For
Organized and reliable — you follow a checklist, you notice what’s off, and you handle it without being told twice.
Warm and member-focused — you know regulars by name and make everyone feel welcome.
Comfortable with technology — PlayByPoint, email, basic social media; you don’t need to be a tech wizard but you can’t be afraid of a screen.
Interest in or knowledge of tennis and/or pickleball is a real plus — you don’t need to be a player but you need to care about the sport and the community around it.
Some experience in a club, hospitality, fitness, or customer-facing environment preferred.
Strong written communication skills — helpful for newsletters, social posts, and member-facing updates.
High school diploma required; any additional education or relevant experience welcome.
