Summary
The Senior Operations Clerk plays a key role in supporting the efficient and accurate execution of daily functions within the Data Operations department. This position is responsible for handling a variety of operational processes including member account maintenance, cash handling, wire transfers, and regulatory requests. With a focus on precision and compliance, the Senior Operations Clerk manages more complex tasks such as government levies, subpoena research, and the reconciliation of teller line vaults and ATMs. The ideal candidate demonstrates strong attention to detail, sound judgment, and a commitment to upholding regulatory and security standards in all aspects of their work.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Manage and prove teller line vault and ATM
Process Fed Returns
Process mail transactions
Process outgoing and incoming wires
Process levies (CSE, DOR, IRS)
Track and verify address and contact changes
Track various weekly reports (Due Diligence)
Process subpoena research requests
Other duties as assigned
Promotes overall BSA compliance by adhering to all BSA and OFAC regulations specific to the job function and assisting the Credit Union’s BSA department as necessary with any departmental function specific items.
Actively promotes the security and privacy of member and employee information through adherence to both information security and physical security policies, procedures, and governing regulations. Training will be completed at least annually for Information Security topics, BSA, and GLBA; annual BSA training will be position specific. Annual training will also include courses on any of the following regulations as they relate to the position described herein: SAFE ACT, Regulations B, C, D, E CC, DD, and Z as well as any training deemed necessary to promote adherence to applicable regulatory requirements.
Qualifications / Requirements
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret written and oral instruction.
Ability to present information and respond to questions from members of management and credit union members.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
Must be able to use Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Teams, Excel, and Word.
Education / Training Experience
High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
Minimum of three years of credit union experience, preferably in a similar role.
Minimum of one year of experience proving teller line vaults and ATMs in a branch.
Experience opening all types of member deposit accounts, including business accounts and IRAs.
Understanding of WFFCU business account structures.
Understanding of IRA accounts including contributions, distributions, and transfers.
Experience researching member accounts and transactions for the purpose of working with subpoenas and processing levies (CSE, DOR, IRS) and their application to member accounts.
Experience processing wire transfers.
Physical Demands & Work Environment
This role primarily takes place in a professional office environment and involves sedentary work, at a desk or teller station, using a computer, and engaging in phone or video conversations. The noise level is generally moderate. Employees may need to sit or stand for extended periods, move about the office, and occasionally lift, push, pull, or carry items up to 20 pounds. Some repetitive motion including movements (motions) of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers. Employees are required to have visual acuity to perform activities such as transcribing, viewing and using a computer, and reading documents, as well as the ability to communicate verbally with colleagues, supervisors, members, and visitors. Reasonable accommodation will be provided as needed.
Pay Range
Salary Band 2, $20 - $28 / hour

This range reflects the full salary band for positions at this level. Individual compensation is determined based on experience, skills, and internal equity.
