Masters degree in Occupational Therapy, active Occupational Therapist license and 1+ year of Occupational Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. Make a difference this summer by supporting students as a dedicated Occupational Therapist during the Extended School Year (ESY) session. This contract role is ideal for a skilled OT seeking hands-on experience in a dynamic school setting near Des Plaines, IL. As part of ESY, you’ll have the unique opportunity to help students maintain crucial skills and prepare for the upcoming school year. Responsibilities include:Delivering occupational therapy services to students according to their individualized education plans (IEPs).Addressing a variety of needs, potentially serving students at multiple campus locations, including the Red Oak campus and nearby schools.Collaborating closely with teachers, support staff, and families to support student progress.Conducting assessments and documenting services in a timely, compliant manner.Participating in orientation during the week of June 8th to ensure you’re set up for success.Providing services from June 15th through July 17th, with schedules tailored to the final caseload assignments. Desired qualifications:Valid Occupational Therapy license in Illinois.Previous experience serving students in school settings is preferred.Ability to communicate effectively with students, families, and team members.Flexibility to work across multiple locations within the designated service area.Strong dedication to helping children reach their potential during summer learning programs.
