Location
Clearsulting is headquartered in Cleveland, OH, with additional offices located in Chicago, IL; Columbus, OH; and Dallas, TX. Other cities are welcome remotely. Office Options: Hybrid or Remote. Team members residing within a 45 minute commuting radius of a Clearsulting office, we expect 8 days of in-person work per month, allowing flexibility choosing these days to accommodate client meetings, team syncs and individual schedules. Travel Expectations: up to 40%.

What You'll Do

Lead commercial activities for sustainability-related engagements, including originating opportunities, shaping pursuits, and contributing to pipeline growth and revenue generation.

Act as a senior sustainability subject matter expert across client engagements, providing guidance on reporting, regulatory requirements, and leading practices.

Drive new business and account expansion accounts by serving as a trusted sustainability advisor to executive stakeholders and identifying opportunities to scale sustainability programs.

Develop and articulate a clear point of view on sustainability trends, regulatory developments (e.g., CSRS), and Workiva solutions.

Partner with delivery teams to ensure high-quality outcomes across sustainability engagements, including oversight of scope, approach, and deliverables (player‑coach model vs day‑to‑day execution).

Support client conversations and solution design related to sustainability reporting, data management, controls, and disclosure processes.

Build and maintain strong executive-level client relationships, serving as a primary point of contact for sustainability initiatives.

Contribute to the growth and maturity of the Sustainability practice, including offerings development, go‑to‑market strategy, and internal enablement.

Collaborate closely with Workiva‑focused teams to align sustainability advisory capabilities with platform‑enabled solutions and differentiated delivery approaches.

What You'll Bring

8+ years in professional services or related industry role.

Deep expertise in ESG/sustainability reporting, regulatory disclosures, and sustainability data management and controls.

Experience working with sustainability reporting frameworks and regulations (e.g., CSRD, GRI, SASB, TCFD, CDP).

Experience leading or supporting commercial activities, including pipeline development, account expansion, and proposal efforts.

Strong client‑facing experience, with the ability to operate confidently at the executive and senior leadership level.

Proven ability to translate sustainability requirements and objectives to scalable, actionable solutions.

Excellent communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate and simplify complex sustainability concepts to both technical and non‑technical audiences.

Nice-to-Haves

Familiarity with the Workiva platform, particularly Sustainability or ESG‑related solutions.

Prior experience supporting or overseeing Workiva sustainability implementations.

Background in building sustainability offerings, playbooks, or go‑to‑market strategies.

Experience mentoring or coaching team members in sustainability subject matter areas.

The compensation range for this position is $150,000-$200,000. We are committed to ensuring our offers reflect the value each candidate brings to the role. Final salary placement will be based on several factors, including level of expertise, relevant work experience, technology certifications, educational background, geography and alignment with industry standards. This role is eligible for our bonus program.
