Job Description Nursing degree, active registered nurse (RN) license and minimum 1+ years MS RN experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. This 13-week contract opportunity offers hands-on experience at a renowned teaching hospital with a reputation for excellent teamwork, supportive leadership, and a commitment to continuous learning. Enjoy a bi-weekly orientation and guaranteed hours (36 per week, with 48-hour options), while contributing to a unit delivering high-quality patient-centered care. Schedule/Hours:12-hour night shifts, 6:30 p.m. – 7:00 a.m.Three weekends required within each six-week scheduleHoliday rotations: every other holiday Qualifications:Active, current compact nursing licenseTwo years of strong medical-surgical nursing experience; one travel assignment minimumPrevious experience in a Level II trauma environmentAHA BLS and NIHSS certifications (must be submitted with application)Recent EPIC charting experience (required; checkoff class on site)Proficiency in PIV insertion, wound care, ostomy care, chest tube/drain management, blood product administration, stable drips (heparin, lasix, protonix), tele interpretation, and moreDemonstrated strength in assessment, adaptability, critical thinking, and resilienceMust possess strong teamwork and communication skills; social candidates encouraged Key Responsibilities:Deliver comprehensive care to post-surgical, trauma, and diverse med/surg patientsCollaborate closely with interdisciplinary teams and participate in teaching environment, including precepting students and new hiresFloat as needed within the skillset to affiliated locations, with advance notice provided for cross-campus assignmentsMaintain excellent documentation and regularly engage in quality improvement initiatives Additional Details:Wear navy blue scrubs (no external logos)Supportive unit culture celebrating milestones and teamworkNot subject to a COVID-19 vaccine requirement (policy subject to change) Bring your expertise and team spirit to a unit where dedication and collaboration are valued every day.
