Job Details Weekly Estimated Pay: $1810 - $1940 Location: Amarillo, TX 79106 (Amarillo occupational therapy jobs / Texas OT jobs) Setting: Acute Care Hospital (acute care OT / inpatient rehab) Contract Duration: 13 weeks (Start: 5/11/2026 – End: 8/10/2026) Shift: 5x8-hour days (08:00 – 17:30) Hours per Week: 40 Travel Requirement: Must live at least 50 miles from facility (travel therapy job eligibility) Job Requirements / Qualifications Minimum 2 years of Occupational Therapy (OT) clinical experience; acute care experience required NBCOT certification (National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy) BLS Certification (American Heart Association) Experience with Epic EMR preferred (Epic experience valued for hospital charting) Comfortable working with adult and geriatric patient populations in an inpatient acute care setting First-time travelers accepted — travel therapy jobs and contract OT roles welcome Former permanent staff must be gone for 1 year before returning as a traveler Responsibilities Provide occupational therapy services to adult and geriatric patients in an acute care hospital setting (acute care OT) Assess, plan, and implement individualized treatment programs and discharge planning Utilize clinical skills including prosthetics (above/below knee, upper extremity), arthritis programs, biofeedback, cardiac rehabilitation, edema massage, electrical stimulation, feeding techniques, hand injury rehabilitation, hip/knee injury and replacement therapy, soft tissue injury management, TENS, and ultrasound Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members (PT, SLP, nursing, physicians, case management) to optimize patient outcomes Maintain accurate and timely documentation using hospital charting systems (Epic EMR preferred) Participate in onsite orientation modules during onboarding and follow hospital policies and procedures Why apply?
