Occupational Therapist (OTR)

What You'll Do

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations to determine students' functional, sensory, and motor needs.

• Develop and implement individualized Occupational Therapy plans aligned with IEP goals.

• Monitor and document student progress with accuracy and timeliness.

• Train and mentor Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants (COTAs) on therapy strategies and IEP implementation.

• Integrate Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) techniques into classroom and therapy sessions.

• Support students in developing:

  • Fine motor and visual-motor integration skills

  • Daily living and life skills

  • Sensory regulation and adaptive coping strategies

• Collaborate with teachers and support staff to create inclusive and accessible learning environments.

• Participate in IEP meetings, provide recommendations, and contribute to student success planning.

What You'll Bring

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctorate in Occupational Therapy

• Current Arizona OT License

• Valid Arizona IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card

• Strong communication, collaboration, and documentation skills

• Positive, team-oriented approach with flexibility and creativity

Preferred Qualifications:

• 2+ years of experience providing school-based OT services

• Training or experience in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA)

• Experience working in inclusive K3 educational settings
