Healthcare Superintendent

We are partnering with a well-established, privately held construction management firm with over a century of experience delivering complex, high-quality projects across healthcare, commercial, and industrial sectors. This organization is known for its strong client relationships, collaborative culture, and commitment to excellence, with a high percentage of repeat business. With a growing portfolio of healthcare projects, they are seeking a Healthcare Superintendent to lead field operations on impactful projects that directly support patient care environments.

The Superintendent will:

  • Lead all on-site construction operations from preconstruction through project completion
  • Coordinate and supervise subcontractors, field staff, and craft labor
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, sequencing, and logistics plans
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards, infection control protocols, and healthcare regulations
  • Collaborate with project managers, owners, architects, and engineers
  • Conduct regular site meetings and provide progress updates
  • Maintain strict quality control and ensure work aligns with project documents
  • Proactively identify and resolve field issues to keep projects on track

The Successful Superintendent Candidate will have:

  • 7+ years of construction experience with a general contractor
  • Proven experience leading healthcare construction projects (hospital, medical office, or clinical environments required)
  • Strong knowledge of construction methods, scheduling, and site logistics
  • Experience managing projects in the $20M-$50M+ range preferred
  • Familiarity with infection prevention measures and working in occupied facilities
  • Ability to lead teams, communicate effectively, and solve complex problems
  • OSHA knowledge and commitment to jobsite safety
